Hi Mattie, I’m really only learning at the moment about the doe’s and don’ts of wind turbines and all that’s associated with over charging batteries and dump loads etc. I suggest you ask cheshiredave who also has your 24v version.

Hi. ref. lightning/earth rods should the neg. side of the generator be conected to the earth rod as well ?, as iam writing this there is a storm outside, I have not got my windgen up yet but hoping to shortly.

Yes I have one of those, 12vdc 40

Yes I have one of those, 12vdc 400watt and am happy with it!
After balancing the blades and raising it up as high as i can (residential living constraints) it kicks arse!

Its one of the quietest Ive heard and when the winds blowing it thumps out them watts in bucket loads!

Not sure if its the same but the controller looks the same, if its a wind and solar controller then its the same as what I have got.
