Well,Before you go searching for motors you need

Well,Before you go searching for motors you need to think abit.

Build your turbine first and see.The one you posted earlier is a sav type.Gearing a motor will drop you way down the scale.Sure if its a monster who cares.Yours at 6ft will struggle.

Vawtman how much do you think my turbine will produce in a 7 m/s wind.

And what Scale are you talking about?

I am going to use the same aerofoil design as last wind turbine but built entirely out of aluminum.

This is going to be bent and welded by a sheet metal company as I dont have the experience. I am only 14 years old.

I would say around 500w.If you gear it maybe only 300 just guesstimates.Has i said build the turbine and well play with power later.

The scale i was referring to was the efficiency scale in the calculator.

So the wings will totally enclosed and not pivot?

I use aluminum trim coil.

Yeah the wings will still pivot using a bracket on the outside of the wing. The wing is going to be more enclosed than last time but still a bit open at the back.

Its going to have 4 wings.
