Hi Sam.
I think at this level of build you may have more success posting the above on the Fieldlines forum.
I can have a stab at answering most of it, and maybe Fish even further, but I don't want to lead you astray.
I do think you should be using a higher amperage bridge rectifier, something like 35 Amps, a good piece here.

The likes of fieldlines forum member 'Flux' amongst others will give you a more accurate answer and hopefully offer more help than we can.
Best to be honest I think and know my limitations ;)

Ben, the reason i post at your forum, beacuse i think you deserve the trafic throught it. It is well built and besides, you always answer all the post.
so posting here is always on my mind to show passers by that this forum is Alive!. and Fish is one of the guys that i really want to work with, with a special or unique pma.
i decided to build axial flux becasue i had the time.

soon i hope i will bug Fish with the new project.
i feel that i am slow, but my day job is getting in the way...lol.

i am a sub at fieldlines, my name there is VAWT. i will post these results there. they do not have youtube plugin! bummer,

always plessure to be here.

sam :P

I appreciate the loyalty Sam,
Fieldlines is great for more technical stuff, there is always a place for a more informal board such as this one I think.
lets hope Fish is along shortly :D

Re: 3phase-pma70t 3phase125t 5phase100t

To add to my previous post.
I understand and tend to lean toward the recognised 'golden' 3:4 ratio of coils to magnets for a 3 phase alternator.

i.e. 6 coils on the stator, and 8 magnets on the rotor, be it single rotor or double for increased voltage, (Flux density).
or
9 coils and 12 magnets, as with Rob Frinks VAWT kits - http://www.windgenkits.com/
Originally pioneered by Windstuffnow Ed (Ed Lenz).

I can't really see any worth in moving away from this tried and tested method - Rules are there to broken of course, but the theory is above me.

I welcome and applaude innovation, but in my opinion it's not worth wasting time on 'ground' that has been thoroughly covered already.

Have fun.
