24 Invertor?

Is it inverter or invertor ??? LOL Who knows!!!

I`m thinking of going 24V and was wondering what 24V invertors voltages are ? Whats the highest voltage and whats the lowest they run on...

I have a 12V invertoer at the moment and it seems to work from 10 to 15.5...yip i have added some 2V sellc in series and it does hammer out the power when 8 are in series lol...

I`d like to know what the drop off voltage is on folks 24 volt invertors??

I use huge 2V cells and only have 11 of them so that gives me 22volts and 24 volts when solar panel is connected....I think i`lll get away with 24 volt system...

If not i`ll probably use 6volts and put 3 in series and parallel them up into a hugmoungous 6 volt cell........

The good thing about 2 volt cells is you can add another 2 volt cell in series when you are drawing about 60amps.....this allows for the kettle at 600W to boil in about 90 seconds....

I love messing about with solar in these days.... lol

Re: 24 Invertor?

I am mostly geared for 12v charging, but do charge and use some NIMHS at 24v+. From there I use a 24v to 12v regulator, kinda of nice really. Regulator has a fused male auto adapter for input, and fused female for output. Input up to 30v, shuts off at 18v.

It's only 3 amp, so nothing major, but I can run a small LCD and media player easily from it to watch downloaded movies, etc.

I have a Magnum MS4024 http://www.dcpowercorp.com/pdf/magnumpdf/msseries.pdf It will take anything between 18 and 34V DC. Probably a bit more than what you are after but it gives you an idea of what's available.
