Hi Guys,

Hi Guys,

I have just joined your forum and am trying to get some performance information about the Ametek 38 for those of you who have purchased it.

I am from Barbados West Indies want to get into Windpower, I am thinking that the small Servo/Treadmill motor is the way to go, in my investigations so far I have not been able to get any field info on the Ametek 38, for instance is it really 1150 rpm for 38V or is it 900 rpm for 38V anything else would be great.

I take cutin speed to be the speed which generates 14.4V which is the charging voltage for 12v batteries.

Your help and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Barbados

Hi Barbados, and welcome to Gotwind.

I didnt find any exact specs but if you go to this link
http://www.watchtv.net/~rburmeister/Randys%20WindGenny.html
and scroll about 1/2 ways down there is a fair bit of information on the 38 Volt Ametek.

Hope that helps,
BW
