Miniature Wind (& Solar) Chargers wanted

Hi, I am looking for a manufacturer of very small Solar and Wind chargers, and when I say small I mean really small such as 8" in diameter maximum due to the restrictions in space on our project, but we only have to power something that has a draw of 2 Amps.

The idea is actually that the wind charger part of this project will be to support the Solar in the event of no sun or no light at all, or very short and dark winter days we have in the UK.

We are looking to mount a very small Solar Panel and wind charger on a bracket which will be used to power a video camera and motion sensor in very rural areas.

Does anyone know of anything like this, or is there anyone in this forum that would be interested in manufacturing this type of equipment for me, I am looking for several hundred of them??

Please let me know asap, through this forum or by calling 07789644951

Thanks in advance

Alex

hi alex,

sounds like a fun project,

i got a case of big eyes  when i read "miniature" and then the 2 amps.
for a 24/7 system (@12v) like that here on the east coast of the usa we would require no less than a 300 watt pv array!

hope you mean it uses 2 amps every so often and is much lower than that 95% of the time? do you have an exact approximation of the power requirements yet?

it's all good fun!
cheers, dave
