Re: gel batterys back to life

We need a bit more info to give a meaningful answer.
Age of batteries
Last time they were charged
Voltage at present.

I don't have any experience of gel batteries i prefer the sealed lead acid flavour personally :?
Plenty of people here that will know (I hope).

Thing to do would be to charge them and see if they hold charge or have you tried that? :D

Re: gel batterys back to life

I have been playing with battery reconditioning for the last 2 years.

You might consider pulsed DC charging them. There are some great circuits out there that could get the job done. I have just recently made a video of where I build a battery conditioner.

The joule thief charger has worked great for me on small 12 amp hour batteries.

For larger ones I use a series of transistors in a circuit called a Jetjis charger.

But there are commercial ones as well out there that use pulse charging to remove the sulfur from the plates. Often it takes several cycles to break it off and get the battery to full condition. That is why I have made the battery conditioning circuit.

Do note to get the batteries back to life it does take several cycles to get them to have real life.
