Weather proof Inverter for outdoor use?

Has anyone come across a Weather proof 12v Inverter for outdoor use?
I suspect there are some heavy regulations in this area, rain and 240v electricity not mixing e.t.c

Otherwise I am considering mounting a regular 500w inverter into a highly rated IP enclosure.
IP is our standard for waterproofness and other detailled specs.

It appears it is an international standard??

Ouch, That's a bit pricey.
I may have to go the DIY route ;) - box it myself in an appropriate enclosure.
Or have a re-think on my idea for external power requirments.

Thanks Neil.

"Marine" inverters should be thoroughly conformal coated internally.

Not sure of your options over there, but "Marine-Grade Vector" inverters are fairly common in the US.
If the direct rain is kept off and out of them, something like that would be fine IMHO.
