I am now monitoring the RPM of everything I can find around the house and workshop that spins
You need to apply (supplied) a 1/2" square of reflective adhesive tape to any rotating mechanism to be able to monitor the rpm.

My 10" diameter cooling fan spins at 4127 rpm by the way
