This may not sound too remarkable to most of the people reading this but when you take into account being at 51 degrees Latitude and just how harsh winter conditions can be it's a small miracle. I believe the two key elements to the success of this project are using the earth for heat storage in the summer months and the 2230 hours of sunshine this area receives for an annual average.

Solar heating does work, even in areas that receive weather extremes.

On a side note we have wet snow in the forecast for Friday May 28th. :lol:
