New Forum update,

Hello all.
Were still running the old forum clearly.

The upgrade is taking a little longer than expected.
The reason being, transfering all of the 9557 Posts to date to the new forum without the SQL database is a challenge, The free hosting company are uncontactable, I believe this can be common practice?

Im assured by the teckie guys it can be done.

The benefits of the new forum will be:

A faster forum with far more member controls including time zone setings. Avatar uploads to name but a few.

It will also help us out, directing traffic to Gotwind, I have to be honest.

Its phpbb based.

Hi Ben,

Why dont you just keep this website and then link it to your new one. So on your new website you have a new forum and then a link to this old forum and then you wont have the problem transferring.

This forum or discussion board as some call it, (not website) is hosted by an Irish, I believe, free hosting company, that have not responded to communications, we have no control over it ultimatly.
We need to host this forum ourselves to enable a better service to visitors and ultimatly direct web traffic to Gotwind.org

There will be a link to the new forum on this hosting page, or a re- direct more probably.

Appologies again.
2 weeks is the new deadline for the new forum, faster, more features e.t.c

I cant complain too much, as the work is being done at cost price (mates rates), apparently it is a 2 day job to transfer all the data across, which I appreciate, without the SQL database.
Bare with me, this forum is still fully functional.
