Finally!

Some wind from the right direction. Both turbines doing their stuff, meters showing a steady 27V and amps rising from 15-20 to over 40 in gusts. Dump load (1KW of glowplugs in domestic radiator) nicely warm, mostly Kettle Brewing sound, and in gusts you can hear it all speed up a bit.

Zippedee-doo-dah, etc.

Now all I need to do is wait till it's quiet again, crank down No.2 and rebalance the blades a bit, they're only very slightly out but unfortunately their natural resonance at cut-in is just right to do a Shake Rattle And Roll with the yaw bearing (a 4-tonne scaffolding jack upside down inside the scaffolding tube tower)

Re: Finally!

Makes a huge amount of difference, proper wind.
The leaves have fallen here and I am seeing some good performance from my Little Samrey turbine, 117 watts max in my Garden.
Blowing a gail today, 65 mph gusts, got it down at the moment to paint.
