The 50w looks ok for the 1300FT hill outside my home,but here in the garden at the moment its winds from all directions and not ideal for wind turbines. personally at the moment solar is winning....
I was interested in what little generator they are using inside that vertical turbine.. it might be one of those types that last forever like the freeplay generators inside their torches and stuff ,but on a bigger scale...
I actually think in the right place and up high enough the maplin vertical turbine might be of some use to peopple in certain areas...
