Make Your Own Miniature Electric Hub Motor/generator
This is a very imformative U.S. authored 'Instructable' that will be of interest to some here I suspect.
Warning It is very technical (by my standards) but interesting.
The multi page article relates more to the making/modifying of a radial brushless motor to power a scooter but there are very close parallels to renewable energy alternator design.
