Looks like the meter reads 0.23kWh and then changes to display to current output of 78 watts.

I guess that must have been fairly early in the morning.

The thing with solar panels is that the output can be anywhere from zero to the maximum rated output.

Makes you wonder just how different our world would be if we didnt have fossil fuels. Can you imagine if we had no power grid, no petrol and had to rely purely on solar/wind power.

I really enjoyed that video Ben, thanks for sharing.

The way I see it for renewable energy, it's a lot like farming. "Make hay while the sun shines." You capture the energy while it is abundant and store it for less productive days. This calls for big battery banks if going off grid. Unfortunately the demand for lead is up so the price followed. Finding the balance between production and storage costs is the key to an effective off grid system.
