New forum - Working OK for you ??

Hi guys.
I'm just wondering if the new forum configuration is o.k?
It's certainly working well this end.

The functionality and speed has been far better in my experience compared to the old free forum?
It has been a good 'pruning' exercise also, so only the most interested are present or log in.
Hence a lower member count, it will grow with interest.

A couple of things I can suggest from initial observations:

Logging in, rather than just being here (a guest) provides you with the latest posts updates, the red tick indicates latest postings within a forum, which is very handy.

I use the 'View new posts' quite a lot also.

Feeback always welcomed, I want this forum to be the best it can be, to really help DIY renewable energy fans around the globe

We have a good number of clever thinkers here, which is very much appreciated.
I am learning daily as well.

thanks for organizing this, it's a great resource. i'm wondering where 2 relatively standard features are: a) how to subscribe to posts to get e-mail notification of a reply, and b) how to search multiple forums at once.

I take it the post reply email notification is disabled?
I have enabled it in my profile.
I get a notification for new PM's.

yes there's an option for PM notification, but there is no option i can see for topic notification / thread subscription.

There is only so much that can be done with my skills here (unpaid).

I believe the forum is working well now and more importantly growing.
